Crafty Collab: Nightwing Paper Toy

Monday, November 18th, 2013

We’ve got another Crafty Collab for y’all!  It’s another one from Rayenyson – the same dude who gave us the Superman,Iron Spider, and Doc Oc paper toys, just to name a few.  As before, to see more of his stuff, go over to his site here.

Nightwing needs no introduction.  This guy is big fan favorite, myself included.  The costume for this paper toy is based on the Young Justice cartoon, which I think is the best-looking one so far.

Without further ado, here he is 😉

Crafty Collab: Alex Mercer Paper Toy

Wednesday, November 6th, 2013

We start off this month with a uber Crafty Collab from the talented Mr. Emmo Hernández.  He is a student from México, who, much like many mexicans, really loves tacos!  Aside from arts and crafts and parkour, he enjoys any type of music related to Rock – Classic, Rock & Roll, and Alternative.

“My name is Alex Mercer. I’m the reason for all this. They call me a killer, a monster, a terrorist… I’m all of these things.”
―Alex Mercer

Crafty Collab: Beware of the Kaiju Paper Toys Part 8 – Gigan

Wednesday, July 10th, 2013

ALL YOUR PLANETS ARE BELONG TO US!

Just like last week, I’m putting you all in the right mood for the “Pacific Rim” movie.  Don’t get me wrong, they’re not paying me to post about the movie, it’s just that eversince I saw that Charles “Barkely VS Godzilla” commercial a while back (aaand I just “dated” myself right there), I’ve always looked forward to the possibility of a movie like PR LOL.

Don’t bother looking for it on youtube, I already looked it up for you – see below…

But enough of that… I’ll let Shaun tell you all about Gigan…

”  Gigan; the original robot chicken. But don’t let that pun fool you. Gigan (the showa version anyway) has definitely given Godzilla a run for his yen from time to time. Between flying around without wings, sawing things with a built-in rotary cutter at his alien masters’ commands, and squealing his little cyborg squeal, Gigan has become a favorite kaiju baddie of kaiju fans everywhere.

And now you can enjoy your own little paper Gigan complete with his own functioning rotary cutter! You probably won’t be able to saw buildings with it but there are probably a few papercraft buildings you could download somewhere. You might be able to make a few tears if you use enough paper for his saw.  “

Man this Kaiju paper toy really rocks!  Go check out that gif animation that Shaun prepared further down.

RARR!

Gigan in an emo pose 😉

Say CHEESE!

I SAW what I SAW, that's all I can say about it...

Check out. this cool gif animation from Shaun Breedlove

As always, many thanks to Shaun for sharing with us another one of his creations.

The template can be downloaded here.  You’ll find the template in the Kaiju section.  Subscribe to this blog to receive the password in the mail and gain access to the downloads section.  Registration is free, just enter your email address in the subscribe field at the right-hand side of the page header.

That’s it for now.

Crafty Collab: Beware of the Kaiju Paper Toys Part 7 – Baragon

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013

WUSSUP  PEOPLE!

It seems I haven’t been able to post an article on the site the past few months.  I’ve been busy with a lot of stuff – it happens, oh well (SHRUGS).  Anyway, I’m back for the time being, so let’s get back into the swing of things – moving on to some serious paper toy business.

In anticipation of “Pacific Rim”, a movie that involves Kaiju and gigantic Mecha.  I’d like to open with a Kaiju post, to start of a series of posts since my hiatus.  The best way to do that is to show off another one of  Shaun Breedlove’s creations.

But first, let’s have a look at that “Pacific Rim” trailer 😉

And now, I present Baragon:

Pretty cool what Shaun did with that photo montage of his (Pic 1).  For the scales, Shaun says he designed it so that you have the option to either paste on individual plates on Baragons back for a more 3D effect (Pic 3), or just stick with the 2D version with the scales already drawn on the base template.

For more information about this Kaiju, go here.

The template can be downloaded here.  You’ll find the template in the Kaiju section.  Subscribe to this blog to receive the password in the mail and gain access to the downloads section.  Registration is free, just enter your email address in the subscribe field at the right-hand side of the page header.

That’s it for now.

Why don't we shake on that...

Mechanical arms, never leave home without 'em!

This wonderful Crafty Collab was created by none other than Rayenyson.   He skillfully took up the challenge of designing Doc Oc’s mechanical arms.  This guy has major skills pulling off this one – my hat goes off to him!

If you just joined us, please feel free to check out the villains released previously.

The template can be downloaded here.  You’ll find the template in the Marvel Universe section. Crafty Collab: Beware of the Kaiju Paper Toys Part 6 – Mothra

Monday, September 10th, 2012

Following a Kaiju reboot from last week and a series from a while back, today I present to you the latest from Shaun Breedlove, otherwise known as PTA’s King of Kaiju.

This time around, he brings us Mothra, complete with larvae and moth versions.  As before, Shaun provided some notes on this paper toy:

”  Here’s to one of the only kaiju who’s been a good guy, err, girl, throughout her entire movie career. Everybody, hold on to your antennae… it’s Mothra! Sure, she may seem like just a big bug but she’s much MUCH more. She’s a big, magic, benevolent bug who loves the earth and all it’s people….. Yeah, I think only Toho co. ltd. could think that one up too. But just the same, that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t be on your shelf! She’ll also look very good on top of your printer as I’ve found out myself. So download your very own mothra today! She’s, yes I’m gonna say it, Moth-Tastic!!!  ”

Crafty Collab: Beware of the Kaiju Paper Toys Part 5 – MechaGodzilla

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

Hello Everyone, before anything else, I’d like to wish all of you a Happy New Year!  I know it’s about 3 to 4 days late, but hey, better late than never, right?

I do hope everyone had a great time during the recent holidays.  I know I did, as I basically “vegged out” as much as I could to get some much-deserved R&R.   It’s time to get back on track.  Let’s start the year with something BIG, shall we?

Introducing MechaGodzilla!

" Uhm, excuse me, is this the way to the toilet? "

Yep, that’s right, he’s the latest from Shaun Breedlove’s Kaiju collection.  Check out his cool copy below – just a little something to accompany his great pictures, template, aaand the special kaiju-with-city art piece above ( WOOT WOOT!!! ).  Many, many, many thanks to Shaun for coming up with another great Kaiju paper toy!

” What’s the best way to fight a giant monster?  Build a giant robot version of that giant monster, of course!  I mean, this is kinda common sense here, people.  Not to mention, you get brownie points if you build it out of a metal that doesn’t really exist. (i.e. space titanium…  it’s titanium, from space!  Which makes it way better than ordinary titanium now, doesn’t it?)  And now you can build your own MechGodzilla.  This one’s the Showa Version.

" RARR! Check out my Space Titanium Claws! "

" I feel like there's something on my back... "

As before, you can find more info about MZ here.  For more Kaiju stuff, go here.

Finally, you can download the template here.  Subscribe to this blog to receive the password in the mail and gain access to the downloads section.  Registration is free, just enter your email address in the subscribe field at the right-hand side of the page header.

Monday, November 21st, 2011

Here he is folks!

Presenting the next big Kaiju from the Shaun Breedlove collection!

Godzilla (AKA Gojira), the King of the Monsters

I’d say this guys is the most famous Kaiju of them all.  Weighing in with a string of movies, cartoon series, and toys under his belt.  Go find out more about this bad boy here.

One more thing (before you download the template) – that mighty fine image by Shaun above is a photo manipulation of his paper toy along with a Fotomo designed by Kimio Itozaki – just giving credit where credit is due 😉 .  Very cool image methinks!  I hope to see more in the future.
