Pimpin’ Paper: Sucker Punch’ Mech Gunner Paper Toy by Raphael Gatt

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

Hats off to Raphael Gatt for designing a paper toy of the mech gunner from the Sucker Punch movie.

My compliments to the talented Brazilian 3D artist.  His toy designs are a bit over my head – they are very complex as well as accurate.  I can just imagine the amount of patience involved in staying true to the design.  The details are spot on.

All set to punch some suckers!

You can grab the template of the mech gunner from his site.  Check out more of Raphael’s work there.
If you want to see more of his stuff in motion, go visit his youtube channel.

It’s been online for a while now, but just in case you missed it, go check out this video.

Is this the humble of beginnings of real life transformers?

That’s all for now.  Cheers!

Online Paper: Fabulous Paper Sculpture for the Love Month

Monday, February 14th, 2011

February, plenty of memories right there.  LOL

I found this wonderful piece of paper craft online.

A fitting paper sculpture for the love month.

You can find more of the artist’s work here.  Unfortunately, it’s written in a language that I can’t understand so you’ll have to be resourceful if you want to understand the words written on the site.

The paper art however, speak for themselves.

Just wanted to share.

Online Paper: Dances with Tatanka – Amazing Cast Paper Sculptures

Friday, February 4th, 2011

Two points to anyone who can figure out what “Tatanka” means and what movie I got that from.  WAIT!  No cheating just yet – lay off the google browser first. LOL

I’m not sure if any of you have seen these but I just stumbled upon it recently and I am in a sharing mood, so there.  Besides, this benefits those who haven’t seen it yet, and this kind of stuff has to be shared.

I’ll let the images speak for themselves…
