Coming Soon: Legend of Korra’s Amon

Friday, May 25th, 2012

Amon, from Nickelodeon’s “Legend of Korra” series, is coming soon.

I’m luvin’ the series so far, more than the Aang series, I totally recommend watching it.

One of the cooler villains I've seen in a while.

This guy is cool in sooo many levels.  Even a chibi version of him looks so ominous.  Anyway, come back soon, I should be done with the template in a few days.

Cheers!

Hawkeye, coming soon…

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Hello again!

I’m just about done with Hawkeye.  I’m using last year’s Red Arrow template but with some minor modifications.  This means Clint Barton, the paper toy, will have his very own bow, arrows, and a quiver.

Watch my movie! Coz I said so 😉

He should be ready for download in a couple of days.

I’m also preparing a paper toy for Black Widow (possibly using a new female contender template, currently in the prototype phase) and The Hulk (using the Brute template).  Nick Fury, I’m not sure, it would depend on the audience I guess.  So let’s have it – Would you guys want your very own “Contenderized” Nick Fury paper toy?  Let me know.

Cheers!

Captain America, coming soon…

Saturday, July 23rd, 2011

Hey everyone!

I’m just sharing a quick teaser of what’s to come.

Captain America, the paper toy.  Coming soon on a desktop near you.

Watch my movie! I guarantee you'll see stars!

That’s all for now.
Cheers!

WIP: Iron Man 2.0

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Okay, this one I’ve been wanting to do for a while now.  I’ve released a paper toy of the Iron Avenger a while back using the rondo template.  I was going for cute that time, but this time around, well, he’s going to be… less cute.

Seeing that I already have some Avengers available in the downloads section – alright, Spidey and Logan are sort of “half” avengers.  I do have Thor packed up and ready to go.  Plus, the Captain America paper toy will be ready when the movie comes out.  So why not make an Iron Man, since he already has a couple of movies under his belt.

Iron Man, the paper toy 2.0. Once more with feeling.

The contender version of Iron Man should be ready in a few days.  Later than sooner though, since free time is a bit scarce these days.  In case you’re wondering, the “texture” will be based on the movie – just like Thor and Cap (coz the movie version of his costume ROCKS!).  I’m also itching to make Hawkeye, but I can’t seem to find any references to his movie costume online yet.  Just in case you have any links, please do send them over.

That’s it for now.

Cheer!

WIP: This is Madness!

Monday, June 6th, 2011

Okay, this is not at all related to my more recent posts, but I just had to squeeze this in.  I saw a poster of the movie somewhere recently and felt I had to make a toy of Frank Miller’s witty warrior King.

This is Spartaaaaa!

The toy is now in the prototype stage. After I make a few adjustments, the template should be ready for download in a few days. As you can see from the image above, the king comes with the essentials for beating up the forces of Xerxes: sword, spear, and shield.  Also to be included but not in the preview is a helmet and cape (perfect for those cold and lonely nights).

That’s it for now.

Cheers!

WIP: The Bike

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

I mentioned in an earlier post – … Robin ( and the Hood ) that I was working on an accessory to help bring the said paper toys closer to their comic/animation counterparts.  I’m uploading an image just to show you how THAT accessory is coming along.

Drum roll please….

VROOM!...

I went to Paper Toy land to find a ride and all I got was this stupid ...

Yes, the contender template will have access to wheels very soon.  No longer do they have to travel from one end of your desktop to the other on foot.  Soon, they will be able to travel in style.

It’s not the usual accessory that I’ve been releasing as of late, but I’m sure some of you wont mind.  I am still working on some adjustments to the bike template.  Prototyping  can be such a chore sometimes.  I also need to design a texture for it as well.

The bike should be ready for download soon.  Do watch out for it.

That’s all for now.
Cheers!

WIP: Young Justice Robin (and the Hood)

Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

In line with my recent Young Justice posts, here now is a quick update on what else to add to the paper toy version of the team Roster.  The first one was Aqualad, followed by Squareheadpapercraft’s KidFlash and Superboy.  Red Arrow will be released soon, which will then be followed by these two ( Robin first though, coz the other character isn’t part of Young Justice LOL ).

Does anyone know who the guy on the right is?

The one on the right rocks big time!  I saw him in action in one of DCs direct to DVD movies – I have to say, one of the best animated DC movies I’ve ever seen.  More on that in a future post.

I’m working on a couple of enhancements to the contender template – to make the paper toys closer to their animated  counterparts, that and then some.  You’ll just have to check back to see what I mean.

For now, Cheers!

WIP: Red Arrow Paper Toy from Young Justice

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

Whoeee!  I’ve been so very busy at work the past few weeks.  I was lucky enough to squeeze in some paper toy-related activities despite everything that’s happening.

I’ve always wanted to come up with an archer paper toy.  Seeing the Young Justice characters ( specifically, Red Arrow – even if he’s not an official member of the group ) helped me push that “want” into a reality.  To be honest, it’s still a work in progress right now, but I think it’s coming along quite nicely.

I didn't have the luxury of time to assemble the Red Arrow "body". Luckily, Kratos was nice enough to help test and pose using the bow and arrow. LOL

The image above shows just one of the archer poses.  The other one has the toy aiming in a more forwardish ( if that’s even a word ) direction.  Watch out for the final version soon.

Also, it isn’t really that evident because most of the activities are happening behind the scenes, but I’m very happy about how Crafty Collabs is turning out.  I’m very happy with the collaborations that are happening behind the scenes.  Plenty of enhancements in the works, plus some new templates to boot.  If you’re interested in getting in on the collaborative action, just let me know through this blog’s contact form.

That’s all for now.  Cheers!

Whoops!

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

This is embarrassing.  My last 2 posts, not including Caption Tuesdays, was about collaborating – I’ll provide the templates while cool collaborators will create the graphics.  Now here I am posting about a graphic that I’m currently working on.

I couldn’t resist.

Young Justice TAS has got to have the coolest looking Aqualad ever!

I spent hours watching episodes of Young Justice ( the animated series ) recently.   I just had to make paper toys of them.   I’ll go back to our regularly scheduled ” programming ” right after.

As mentioned in the caption above, this is Aqualad from the TV series.  I definitely love what they did with his weapons.  The template I’m preparing will have a pair of “water whips and machetes”.  I’m doing Red Arrow next ( coz I haven’t done an Archer version of the contender yet )  Robin * will come after ( the asterisk is for something cool that will come along with the Robin template LOL ).

That’s it for now.  Cheers!

WIP: Chris Bachalo’s AOA Silver Samurai

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

A few posts ago, I wrote about creating paper toys based on some of the characters from Marvel Comic’s ” Age of Apocalypse ” series.  You can read about it here.   To be specific, I wanted to make paper toys of selected AOA characters drawn by one of my favorite comic book artists, Chris Bachalo.

AOA Silver Samurai is one such character. I actually don’t like the ” comic character ” per se, what I do like is Bachalo’s rendition of him.

See? Pure " gorgeousness ", don't you think?

If you want to see more of Bachalo’s gorgeous artwork, go get yourself a copy of the book – especially the 10th year anniversary mini series.

AOA Silver Samurai, coming soon.

Anyway, I’m just about done with AOA Silver Samurai.  The toy will be out soon enough, I just need to make some minor adjustments on the template.  Check back soon.

That’s all for now, cheers!
