… Iron Rondo!

Yep, I couldn’t resist.  I just had to make a Rondo version of Shell Head.  Specially since the movie is just about to come out.  I hope you like!  For those of you who like to see any of the other characters from the movie (War Machine, Whiplash, or Black Widow), let me know.

Quick updates: 2 New Sections, Print ‘N Play, and Online Games

February 27th, 2010

Just a couple of quick updates.

I’ve added 2 new sections to the blog, hopefully, you guys find it exciting:

1) “Some assembly required” – the Print ‘N Play section is where I’ll be dumping all downloadable, printable, and playable paper toy-related experiments.  The projects you’ll see in this section include paper toy tabletop miniatures, board games, and card games.  This is where gamers and paper toy enthusiasts can meet up and try out my “hopefully” fun game experiments. I’d appreciate it if you can give me comments on the games and tell me if they suck or not.

2) Online Games. Yep, Flash games that feature Paper Toy Adventures experiments.  Ain’t that cool? Not only will you be able to play with Paper Toy Adventures characters “LIVE”, but you’ll also be able to see them in action online.  Cool, eh?  Quick disclaimer, DO NOT expect an epic gaming experience here, the games that I will post in this section will be very simple and easy to play (and develop LOL). Think of them as a quick break from all your paper toy adventuring.  XD

That’s all for now. Check back soon. Cheers!

Paper Toy – Fan Art: Penguin Mafia

February 22nd, 2010

Well, I’ve always been fond of the Penguins from the Madagascar movie.  That, plus I needed to come up with simple and small templates for my “PaperMon” game.  So I decided to shoot two birds with one stone and create paper toys of the penguins using one of the templates that I plan to use for the game.

Here they are in all their glory, lovingly crafted by my son.

Locking Methods Part 1 – Kickoff

February 11th, 2010

Recently, I came across an old book of mine. Its a packaging book that I purchased when I used to do a lot of graphic design. In that book, I found a bunch of templates for all sorts of boxes and containers.  Included in the book are a number of locking methods for boxes. Very useful I think for paper toy designers, specially for those who like to go glueless.

Very busy here in the land of Paper Toy Adventures, plenty of stuff happening in the background. I’ll post more info here when I have more to share, so check back once in a while.

In the meantime, allow me to introduce you to Rondo’s long lost brother… LOL
