The New Age of Apocalypse – Silver Samurai Paper Toy

Friday, April 1st, 2011

Here you go.  As mentioned in an earlier post – the coolest looking version of Silver Samurai, based on comic art by Chris Bachalo.

I like how this one turned out.  There are 3 different arm poses in the template – I suggest you use the “straight” version if you want to display the toy with the samurai holding his sword with two hands ( see image 2 ).

" Yeah, that's right, I'm with the X-Men now... got a problem 'wit that? "

" Look Ma! Two hands! "

" Yes, we no longer use Katanas in the Age of Apocalypse "

You can download the template here. Subscribe to this blog to receive the password in the mail and gain access to the downloads section.  Registration is free, just enter your email address in the subscribe field at the right-hand side of the page header.

That’s all for now.  Cheers!

WIP: Chris Bachalo’s AOA Silver Samurai

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

A few posts ago, I wrote about creating paper toys based on some of the characters from Marvel Comic’s ” Age of Apocalypse ” series.  You can read about it here.   To be specific, I wanted to make paper toys of selected AOA characters drawn by one of my favorite comic book artists, Chris Bachalo.

AOA Silver Samurai is one such character. I actually don’t like the ” comic character ” per se, what I do like is Bachalo’s rendition of him.

See? Pure " gorgeousness ", don't you think?

If you want to see more of Bachalo’s gorgeous artwork, go get yourself a copy of the book – especially the 10th year anniversary mini series.

AOA Silver Samurai, coming soon.

Anyway, I’m just about done with AOA Silver Samurai.  The toy will be out soon enough, I just need to make some minor adjustments on the template.  Check back soon.

That’s all for now, cheers!
