Daredevil (Red) Paper Toy Now Available!

Monday, June 1st, 2015

This guy was requested a lot here and on Instagram – happy to oblige. I’ve been wanting to release a paper toy based on the Man Without Fear a long time ago, so here it is – Daredevil in his Netflix red (armored) suit is now available for download.

The Man In Red Tights 😉

I like the Netflix red costume better than the Ben Affleck version – yeah, I’m not really a purist when it comes to costumes LOL. That said, I kept the eyes white as a personal preference – feel free to color it “red” if you prefer otherwise.

The Archer from an Alternate Dimension

Monday, May 25th, 2015

This is just to close off this run with archers, last week, we released the (Green) Arrow paper toy based on the “Arrow” TV series. Debuting this week is the “Archer” from the WB animated film “Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths“. It’s the Green Arrow’s equivalent from a parallel universe. I based the template on the the designs of the very talented Phil Bourassa – you should check his stuff out here.

You talkin' to me?

It’s Not Easy Being Green – The Arrow Paper Toy Now Available

Wednesday, May 20th, 2015

I’ve been wanting to design this paper toy ever since the “Arrow” TV series started airing – actually, ever since the character started showing up in the Justice League Unlimited TV series. Why? It’s because of the mustache and goatie man, they’re the best and sharpest in the business (Except for Dashing Fandral’s maybe – NAH)

Where to base the texture on was tough to decide on too, there are a lot of great designs that represent the character – Bruce Timm’s were great (again the mustache and goatie)! Phil Bourassa’s were top notch! Plus all the designs of all the great artists who drew GA in the comics.

Enter the CW series – I think they did a really good job, they also helped me make my decision on where to base this toy on. Virtual pat on the back right there.

Anyway, I’ll be posting a bunch of captioned stuff on the papertoyadventures instagram account, it’s been fun, especially with the Daredevil character coming fresh off the presses just weeks ago with both characters being vigilantes. Check them out when you can.

Bored netizen of the web, YOU HAVE FAILED THIS CITY!

Daredevil (Black) Paper Toy Now Available!

Monday, May 11th, 2015

Daredevil, in his black suit, based on the Netflix TV series.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this one – definitely appreciated the fight scenes and his “real-ish” mortality. Foggy Nelson was great too as was the Kingpin, great cast so far. I am looking forward to the next season.

The Hulkbuster Paper Toy, Now Available!

Thursday, April 30th, 2015

Well this paper toy was tough to do LOL

I just realized how rusty I am in putting together a paper toy – I’m not that used to my graphic tools anymore. I even forgot how to upload files via FTP LOL. Plus this character had a boatload of detail needed to get the look right.

What a way to jumpstart things – I’m glad I did it though.

HULKBUSTER, SMASH!!!

Anyway, it’s finally finished. To those who requested for the feature that allowed fitting an Iron Man paper toy inside the Hulkbuster, it IS possible to do, but I didn’t have time to work that into this model, so, maybe next time.

Crafty Collab: Superman Paper Toy

Monday, October 7th, 2013

Aaaand we’re back!

This time around with a collab from Rayenyson, the same guy who gave us the Iron Spider and Doctor Octopus paper toys – just to name a few.  If you want to see more of his stuff, go over to his site here.

This is a job for…

SUPERMAN!!!

I took some time reviewing the comment posts on the blog it seemed there were requests for Superman and the Justice League characters.  Since I already released a batman / Dark Knight a while back, why not follow it up with the Man of Steel?  Maybe it starts of a series of paper toys based on characters from the DC comic universe.  It could happen 😉

Many thanks to Rayenyson as always.

The template can be downloaded here.  You’ll find him in the DC Universe section along with Bane and the Cat Woman (coming soon).  Subscribe to this blog to receive the password in the mail and gain access to the downloads section.  Registration is free, just enter your email address in the subscribe field at the right-hand side of the page header.

If you need any help in putting this paper toy together, just go to the Assembly Instructions page.  You’ll find plenty of quick links to step-by-step tutorials on how to assemble the toys released from this blog.

Cheers!

The Trench Coats are Coming – Grifter

Wednesday, July 31st, 2013

Hey there kiddies!

So I just realized that Grifter is part of the DC Universe.  It dawned on me when I saw him in the new DCU movie – Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.  This is the movie based on the comic book miniseries by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert.   Grifter has a small part there – with speaking lines too LOL, just like everyone else I guess, since the movie focused more on Flash, but seeing Grifter in animated splendor was cool nonetheless.

If you haven’t seen the movie yet, I recommend that you do.

The Flashpoint Paradox - Go Watch It!!!

Grifter, the last of the “Trench Coats” ( for now at least ), is now ready to be downloaded.  Go on now, print, assemble, and enjoy.

The Trench Coats are Coming! – Gambit

Tuesday, July 16th, 2013

Hats off to all of you who cast their votes.

The order of the “coated” has been decided and this is how it looks like:

  • Gambit
  • Dante
  • Grifter

Looks like Gambit got the thumbs up for the number 1 spot.  Enjoy!

Pick a card, any card...

For those with a keen eye, this is how to make him hold the cards 😉

The Trench Coats are Coming! – Last Call

Saturday, July 13th, 2013

Alrighty then.

Before I finalize the release schedule of the toys, I want to do one final call for votes to decide which character template I should finish off first in order to release.  If you just tuned in and don’t know what I’m talking about, go here.

Last call for votes! What say you?

Let’s check out how the votes are coming along so far:

  • Dante with  15 votes
  • Gambit with 13 votes
  • Grifter with 6 votes
Votes were sourced from the comments section of the previous page as well as the through the contact form.  Looks like Dante is leading the pack and Mr. Remy Lebeau is a close second.  Poor Cole Cash is running a distant third.  Oh well.  I actually thought Gambit would be on top.  Go figure.
If any of you want to change the order of release, please sound off on the comments section below or the contact form to the right.  I’ll be releasing the character with the most votes early next week.
Also, it seems I left a few more series releases hanging.  Just like the trench coats.  I would like to hear from the audience ( Ahem! That means YOU ), which one’s you’d like me to prioritize.
The list looks like this:
I’ll likely hold off on this Spider-Men series until the next Spider-Man movie comes out.  It seems more appropriate that way.  If I remember correctly, a couple of Spidey’s bad boys are in the Villains Gallery anyway, so those dudes should be enough to whet the concerned appetites in the meantime.  UNLESS y’all want me to get those toys out sooner.
You have the power!!!
That’s it for now.
Cheers!

“Dark” Bane Rises

Wednesday, July 18th, 2012

Hello folks!

Bane, this time around, based on the upcoming Dark Knight Rises movie.  For those of you who just joined us, this is Bane’s second appearance in a feature post on this blog.  He showed up here for the first time as the first-ever texture (or was it the 2nd?) using the Brute template.  Go here to view that Bat-back-breaking post.

RAWR! Do I look like the Predator to you or what?

Yes, I steal helmets, FEAR ME!

OMG! I look like Professor X!!!

If you need any help in putting this paper toy together, just go to the Assembly Instructions page.  You’ll find plenty of quick links to step-by-step tutorials on how to assemble the toys released from this blog.
