The Villains Gallery Part 8: Doctor Octopus

Monday, September 17th, 2012

Mixing it up a bit this month, yet again, today we continue the first installment of the Villains gallery paper toy series, first concocted here.  This time around, we proudly present the good Doctor Octavius!

Why don't we shake on that...

Mechanical arms, never leave home without 'em!

This wonderful Crafty Collab was created by none other than Rayenyson.   He skillfully took up the challenge of designing Doc Oc’s mechanical arms.  This guy has major skills pulling off this one – my hat goes off to him!

If you just joined us, please feel free to check out the villains released previously.

The template can be downloaded here.  You’ll find the template in the Marvel Universe section. If you need any help in putting this paper toy together, just go to the Assembly Instructions page.  You’ll find plenty of quick links to step-by-step tutorials no how to assemble the toys released from this blog.

That’s it for now.

Hi folks!

Yesterday, I wrote a post about the Iron Spider, the uber cool Crafty Collab by Ralph Rayenyson.  Not only did he design Iron Spidey, but he also sent over images for a step-by-step tutorial on how to assemble those cool spidey arms.  Many thanks go out to him yet again.

Note that this same tutorial can be used on a few more of Ralph’s customs.

Pop quiz hot shot!

What’s red, gold, and made of iron?

This month we’re starting off with a Crafty Collab from Ralph Rayenyson.  He’s been releasing a number of cool customs in the past months, his Iron Spider is one of them – also one of my faves from his collection!  Go check out his stuff here.   I’ll be featuring more of his designs right here on this blog in the next few weeks.

I absolutely love what he did with those waldoes (appendages).  For more information about what this super spidey suit does, go here.

Crafty Collab: March of the Spider-Men Part 5: The Scarlet Spider

Friday, August 31st, 2012

Okay, just before the iron, red, and gold spider coming next week, I present to you a scarlet one – it turns out, this guy is actually an appropriate kicker for next week’s paper toy.

The Scarlet Spider is yet another awesome crafty collab from Alonso Baŭtista Viĵalobos.  Check out more of his stuff here.

The Clone Wars - Spidey style!

I’m not that familiar with the Scarlet Spider’s story, so I had to look him up.  Wikipedia says this costume was actually worn by at least 3 people – Ben Reilly was the  first (Peter Parker’s clone – which I’ll leave you to read up on, on your own), by some villain called Wade, a dude called Kaine, and Felicity Hardy (GASP!).  Apparently there is also a group called the Scarlet Spiders – and no, they’re not a rock band even if they sound like one.  Not bad for a spider costume 😉

The template can be downloaded here.  You’ll find him in the Marvel Universe section.  Subscribe to this blog to receive the password in the mail and gain access to the downloads section.  Registration is free, just enter your email address in the subscribe field at the right-hand side of the page header.

Crafty Collab: March of the Spider-Men Part 4: Carnage

Tuesday, August 28th, 2012

Alright, one more Symbiote for now, then we’ll switch over to the heroes after.

This week, we’ve got another crafty creation from Chihuahua Mexico!  Alonso Baŭtista Viĵalobos’ contribution this week is CARNAGE!  For those of you who are just tuning in, Alonso is the same guy who gave us Black Spidey and Venom (contender version), and Phantom 2040.

Let's shake on that!

For more of Alonso’s customs on his blog, go check it out!

Methinks it’s way cool!  Luv those deadly appendages, don’t you?  Don’t leave home without ’em.

The template can be downloaded here.  You’ll find him in the Marvel Universe section.  Subscribe to this blog to receive the password in the mail and gain access to the downloads section.  Registration is free, just enter your email address in the subscribe field at the right-hand side of the page header.

That’s it for now.

Next week, you’ll see iron, red, and gold.
Guess who’s next.

Cheers!

We’ve got more super Spidey stuff from Austin Billingsley this week.

This time it’s the Symbiote from the Spider-Man 3 movie.  Confused of all the alien symbiotes running around this blog, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.  Let Wikipedia shed some light into the darkness.

Austin has been “gifting” us with plenty of primo Spidey stuff.  Check out his version of Venom from last week.

Staring match.... I WIN!!!

For those of you who just joined us, Austin also provided us with The Joker, another iconic Villain in the comic verse.

Many thanks go out to Austin.  I’m definitely looking forward to more of his creations.

Venom with the tongue-lash action.

Crafty Collab: March of the Spider-Men Part 1: Black Spidey and Venom

Monday, August 6th, 2012

Hello everyone!

Today, we kick off a Crafty Collab series of 8-legged proportions.

We start it all with a devious doubleheader by none other than Alonso Baŭtista Viĵalobos, who is no stranger to crafty collaborations.  His first contribution to the Paper House of Adventures was The Phantom 2040 released some time ago.  Now, he’s back anew with a couple of webslingers.

What's that? Alien Symbiote!?! Where?

HELP ME! I swallowed a snake...

In case you’re looking for Spidey’s classic red and blue, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered – look no further than this link.

Go check out more of Alonso’s creations in his blog, Paperisto.  You can also get them from the downloads page – You can find these Spider-Men in the Marvel Universe section.  Subscribe to this blog to receive the password in the mail and gain access to the downloads section.  Registration is free, just enter your email address in the subscribe field at the right-hand side of the page header.

That’s all for now.

Cheers!

Up Next…

Saturday, August 4th, 2012

Hi All,

Plenty of cool stuff to come from the Paper House of Adventures.  I just want to share a bit of what to expect the rest of the year.

But first, I’m announcing that I’m pushing back the completion of the “Villains Gallery” to later this year, if not early next.  As some of you may have noticed, I’ve been getting very busy lately and I’m only going to be a lot busier in the next few months.  So for those of you looking forward to the Governor, Doc Oc, and the Green Goblin (did I forget anyone?), please be patient.  I’ll start working on them as soon as I have a chance to.

Working hard for the money 😉

Regardless, I do have a bunch of goodies to share –  templates that are almost done or are ready for release and a whole bunch of coolness from our very talented pool of crafty collaborators.

Here now is a quick list of what’s to come, arranged in no order whatsoever:

  • Spider-men, in many different flavors (I wonder if I should hyphenate)
  • An army of Kaiju from the master himself, Shaun Breedlove
  • The most famous Hylian in all of gaming history
  • Three dudes in trench coats
  • Bruce, but not Wayne
  • More Villains

And, assuming I find the time, I’ll probably release 2 movie characters played by the one and only Sylvester Stallone LOL.  Any guesses from the audience?  Let me know.

That’s all for now.

Cheers!
